Remove location and metadata from a video

See where, when and on which phone a clip was filmed, then wipe it in a second. The video stays on your device: we never receive it, so there is nothing of it on our server.

MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and more · any video this device can play

Your privacy comes first

Your contracts, passport scans and family videos stay yours. No one but you gets to see them.

  • We never store your files

They don’t even reach us: your phone or computer does the work. Nothing to delete later.

  • 100% free

No daily limits, no file-size cap, no paid Pro plan.

  • No sign-up

No account to create, no email to give. No account, nothing to hack.

How it works

  1. Choose a videoPick an MP4, MOV or WebM, or drop it on the page.
  2. See what’s insideThe panel lists the location, phone, dates and apps found in the file.
  3. Clean and saveThe clean copy downloads with “-clean” in its name; the original stays as it was.

What a video says about you, and how to wipe it

An iPhone or an Android phone writes into each clip where it was filmed, when, and on which model. A video sent as a file or posted on a site carries all of that. Here you remove metadata from video files before they leave your hands, and see first what is actually inside. It is free, with no account and no size cap from us.

What the panel shows

  • Location: the GPS coordinates a phone saves, and a place name if there is one.
  • Dates: when the clip was created and changed.
  • Phone: make, model and system version.
  • Apps and encoders the file went through, plus title, author and comments.
  • Groups that reveal where, when or with what are marked “Gives you away”.

Everything goes, then it is checked

There is nothing to tick: all that the list shows is removed. After saving, the page reads the new file again and says “Checked the saved file: nothing left.” If something stayed, it tells you how many items.

No quality loss, in a second

The video is not converted. The file is copied byte for byte, and the metadata in it is blanked in place. Picture, sound, length and size stay the same, so even a long clip takes a moment.

Formats

MP4, MOV and M4V from phones and cameras, WebM and MKV. Other formats, like TS, need converting to MP4 first.

When it matters

  • Sending a clip as a file or by email, where everything inside is kept.
  • Posting a video filmed at home on a site that doesn’t clean uploads.
  • Sharing work footage without your phone model and dates in it.

What it doesn’t touch

It cleans the file, not the picture: a street sign or a face in the frame stays visible. Crop or blur those in the editor first.
