Cut the start, the end or the middle
- Keep selected: everything before and after the selection is cut away.
- Remove selected: the part is cut out and the rest is joined together.
- Need an exact point? Type a time like 1:23.4 in Start or End.
Trim video clips from your phone, camera or screen recorder: keep the part you need or cut a piece out of the middle. Your file stays yours: we never receive or store it, and a simple trim saves in a second or two.

Drag the two edges over the strip of frames and play the selection to check it. Then decide what the selection is: the part to keep, or the part to cut out. The page shows how much will be left, for example “42.0 s left after trimming”.
By default the video is cut without being re-saved. The picture and sound stay exactly as they were, and saving takes seconds rather than minutes. The cut can only land on certain frames, called keyframes, so the start may move a fraction of a second earlier.
Turn on Super precise cutting in the settings next to Save. The cut lands exactly where you put it. The picture is re-saved for that, so it takes longer, most of all on a phone.
Most trims remove what got in by accident: the first seconds while the camera was being aimed, and the end where a hand reaches for the button. A shorter clip also travels better. Cut a one-hour call down to the two minutes that matter, and it fits in a message or an email.
