Compress image files without visible loss

Reduce image size for an email, a form or a website with one slider, and watch the new size of every file before you download it. Your pictures are never sent to us.

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC · up to 50 images at once

Your privacy comes first

Your contracts, passport scans and family videos stay yours. No one but you gets to see them.

  • We never store your files

They don’t even reach us: your phone or computer does the work. Nothing to delete later.

  • 100% free

No daily limits, no file-size cap, no paid Pro plan.

  • No sign-up

No account to create, no email to give. No account, nothing to hack.

How it works

  1. Add imagesPress Choose images or drop up to 50 pictures on the page.
  2. Move the sliderBalanced is set. Slide towards Smaller file or Better quality and watch the sizes in the list change.
  3. SaveOne image downloads on its own; several come as one ZIP with the total before and after.

How much smaller each picture gets

A 5 MB phone photo is slow to send and too heavy for many upload forms. Compress image files here, check the new size of each one, and only then save.

Three levels on one slider

The slider runs from Smaller file to Better quality, from 30 to 95. It starts at 75.

  • Strong: the smallest file, for previews and chats.
  • Balanced: the default. Much smaller, and still looks like the original.
  • Light: hard to tell from the original. For prints and portfolios.

What to expect

A phone photo usually shrinks by half or more at Balanced. The list shows each new size, and the total before and after sits above Save. If a picture can’t get any smaller in its own format, the original is kept, so a file never grows.

Compress PNG, screenshots and logos

PNG has no quality setting. At Light it gets smaller without changing a single pixel. Below Light it keeps 256 colours, and 128 at the strong end. That suits screenshots and logos and keeps transparency.

What you get

  • Each image keeps its format and gets “-compressed” in its name. Under Format you can save as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF instead.
  • JPG is encoded with MozJPEG, WebP with libwebp, PNG with oxipng.
  • Location and other camera details are left out, which also saves a few kilobytes.
  • Up to 50 images per batch, all with the same setting.

Compress image files to the smallest size

  • Resize first: a 4000-pixel photo is far more than a website or a chat needs.
  • A photo saved as PNG gets much lighter as JPG or WebP.
  • WebP is usually about a quarter smaller than JPG at the same look. AVIF is smaller still but takes a few seconds per photo.
