Remove pages from a PDF

Delete the pages you don’t need, such as blank scans, a cover or old terms, and save a shorter PDF. Your file stays with you: nothing is sent to us or stored.

No account to create, no email to give. No account, nothing to hack.

How it works

  1. Choose a PDFEvery page appears as a thumbnail.
  2. Select and deleteTap the pages to go and press Delete.
  3. Save the PDFThe new PDF has every page except the deleted ones.

How to remove pages from PDF documents

A scanner adds the blank backs of single-sided sheets, a downloaded report comes with pages you will never read, a form has a page meant only for the office. Deleting them makes the file shorter and easier to send.

Select the pages

  • Click or tap a page to select it, and again to clear it.
  • Shift-click selects all the pages between two clicks.
  • To keep only a few pages, press Select all, clear the ones to keep, then delete.

Delete and check

Press Delete and the selected pages leave the list. Look through what is left before you save. Undo brings deleted pages back, step by step, until you save.

Check before you save

The summary next to the Save button shows how many pages the new file will have, such as New PDF, 12 pages. Until you change something, Save waits with the hint Delete a page first. The new file is named after the original with -organized at the end, so the two never mix up.

Fix the rest while you are here

This is the same screen as Organize PDF pages, so you can also drag pages into a new order, turn a sideways page or add a blank one before saving.

What you get

  • A new PDF; the original keeps every page.
  • The pages you keep are copied unchanged, so text stays selectable.
  • The file usually gets smaller, since pictures used only on the deleted pages are left out.

Keyboard on a computer

  • Arrows move between pages, Space selects one.
  • Delete removes the selected pages.
  • Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on a Mac) selects the whole file.

Limits

  • One PDF at a time, with no page limit and no file-size cap from us.
  • At least one page has to stay. To save a few pages as a separate file instead, use Extract PDF pages.
  • A file that asks for a password to open has to be unlocked first.
