Convert WebP to PNG

Make a PNG from a WebP logo, sticker or picture, transparency included, for the apps and editors that won’t take WebP. Your files stay with you: we never receive or store them.

WebP files only · other formats open in “Image converter”

Your privacy comes first

Your contracts, passport scans and family videos stay yours. No one but you gets to see them.

  • We never store your files

They don’t even reach us: your phone or computer does the work. Nothing to delete later.

  • 100% free

No daily limits, no file-size cap, no paid Pro plan.

  • No sign-up

No account to create, no email to give. No account, nothing to hack.

How it works

  1. Add WebP filesUse Choose images or drop up to 50 .webp files. Any other format is pointed to the Image converter.
  2. Leave the settings aloneSaved as PNG shows in the panel. PNG is lossless, so there is no quality or background to choose.
  3. DownloadSave image gives one PNG; Save N images packs them into a ZIP, with sizes shown.

Clear edges in, every pixel kept

Logos, product cut-outs, icons and stickers on websites often come as WebP with a transparent background. Older editors, slide software, some print and sticker services and many upload forms want PNG. A PNG keeps the same see-through edges and opens almost anywhere.

Transparency stays

Both formats store an alpha channel, so a logo on a clear background stays on a clear background, soft shadows and smooth edges included. That is the main reason to pick PNG here: a JPG would paint the empty parts a solid colour.

The file grows, sometimes a lot

A WebP from a website is usually compressed with loss. PNG then stores every pixel of that result exactly, which takes far more room. In our test a 466 KB WebP of an 8.8-megapixel aerial photo became a 9.3 MB PNG, twenty times larger. Flat graphics grow far less: our 1024×1024 app logo weighs 20 KB as WebP and 25 KB as PNG.

Pick PNG when

  • A logo, icon or sticker has to stay see-through
  • You will edit the picture in an app that can’t open WebP
  • A service or form accepts PNG but not WebP
  • You want a master copy that loses nothing more with each save

Something else may suit better

  • A photo for email or upload: WebP to JPG gives a file about nine times lighter than PNG.
  • Your own website: keep the WebP, it is already the light version.
  • A blurry picture: PNG keeps it exactly as blurry, no sharper.

Good to know

  • An animated WebP gives only its first frame.
  • Camera details and location are not copied.
  • We set no size cap, but a phone may run out of memory on a huge PNG.
